What is everyone’s policy on this? 

There’s seems to be no consensus on hand shake vs fist bump vs secret third thing and every interaction is made more awkward by it.

My policy is to avoid handshakes. You have to be pretty explicit about it as people are eager to shake hands when meeting.

The less I shake hands the less I get sick.

I had an aggressive hand washing policy for Bangkok and it worked out pretty well
