If an altcoin wants to grow like BTC in the long-term, it needs to buy back its own token. A protocol must regularly buy back its token to create ongoing demand in the market. Most crypto protocols struggle to generate sustainable revenue because they mainly rely on crypto users and trading. If an altcoin can generate consistent revenue, it has the potential to be successful in the long-term.
