3 years ago Telegram had a big hack, especially with Brazilian accounts, which I uncovered here: https://medium.com/@giacaglia/how-hackers-are-getting-access-to-1000s-of-telegram-accounts-cf38c12b7ee1 They've contacted me and fixed it a little bit after.

Not a fan of Telegram’s defaulting to non-e2ee chats whose implementation is questionable anyways. Telegram is popular for communities though, especially in crypto. Signal is laying the groundwork for the introduction of usernames and phone number privacy https://is.gd/uxoban
