The work is the celebration of the New World culture - arts, crafts, music and food, through blending of the tangible/earthy and the spiritual - reimagining Aztec visual symbols - like those found in pottery, blankets, and mural paintings of the Indigenous cultures of Latin America - the pre-Columbian deities of the earth, plants and sun. I use AI as the mechanism for careful reinterpreting and reimagining - that’s why I lovingly call my models AIztec. it’s about the place somewhere in Americas, where the corn has its personal goddess, Chicomecōātl, and where are just three seasons - spring for digging the dirt and planting seedlings, summer for growing and blooming and fruiting, al that hard work culminating in the gloriously hot Indian summers of abundance and harvest.
