It’s heartbreaking to see the images coming out of western North Carolina, the state where I grew up, in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Chimney Rock, the adorable little mountain town where my parents honeymooned in 1952, has been decimated. So much help is needed to help this area and so many others start the process of rebuilding.
