The prevalence of cryptocurrency in global commerce has increased by 42% in two years.

The number of businesses globally accepting cryptocurrencies has increased by 42% in the past two years. According to BTC Map, their number will increase from 7,731 in October 2022 to 10,952 in April 2024. 

This trend is accompanied by the proliferation of cryptocurrency ATMs, with the global market increasing by 57% in 2023. There are currently 181 million locations across the planet.

According to a survey by ConsenSys and YouGov, 92% of respondents in 15 countries have heard of cryptocurrencies. And at least 50% know what it is.
