i just did a costco run for myself and the hubz. got some food for the week, a few staples, and a couple household goods like laundry detergent. 

not even lying, i paid more for this grocery run than i did on my round trip tickets to japan.

legit cheaper to fly to japan and eat there than to buy food in hawaii 🤔

I always found grocery prices in HI to be very high. Thankfully, Foodland always had those rice dishes on clearance in the afternoon. And for snacks on the beach we just had chips and bananas.
