(can you tell me privately whut that cast means? πŸ˜‚ ) NGL I am proud of the scaling. It's a bit nerdy, but applying a trigonometric transformation to a distribution is standard practice in finance and statistics. "All models are wrong, but some are useful" so on and so forth. in kinda layman's terms: - for someone at the top of the distribution, getting more views always helps. but on the margin it helps less and less ("diminishing marginal returns"). this fights against big accounts dominating - the middle absorbs value from the top and bottom (or, the left and right, if you live more in memes statistics land) - by giving a minimum $5 to each caster, we take value from everyone equally, and give it to the bottom qualified casters. Is this socialism / communism, with crypto community characteristics? 1/2

2/2 I truly appreciate the step functions in the Warpcast Rewards algo. I have no hate for them; I have nothing but admiration. In internet terms, having a sharp discontinuity (a step function) concentrates and focuses attention. The people just below the line work waaay harder just to level up. And all us observers and replyguys benefit from the "artificial" energy. It's similar to how in marathon times, there's a huge cluster of people with times just under 3 hours and just under 4 hours. Not a lot of people just over those round, observable goals. (nobody asked me, but sharing my opinion:) Cool design!
