We haven’t figured out a repeatable value prop. 

For some people it’s the people. That’s doesn’t scale.

For some people it’s make money. But that’s not consistent enough for every user.

What do you think Farcaster's main value prop is?

Here's my take but I think it could be refined:  

You should use Farcaster if you want a social network with a wallet attached to your account that makes it easy to transact with people and applications in an open and permissionless manner

This is not the right answer, but it's how I see it ca. Jan 2025.

Farcaster is the most likely place for solutions to emerge for the problems of social-media writ large: censorship, shadowbans, shared understanding of truth.

It may also produce other good things: decentralized YC, mass adoption of crypto rails, unstoppable payments, universal UBI, borderless human interactions, sybil resistance via social history, notarization of shared experiences, algorithmic/ML signal elevation out of noise, solving crowdfunding, self-sovereign creator economy, yadda yadda.

Furthermore, venture capital has generously funded this science experiment. The few and the early get outsized benefits. Value may splash around in ways that generate useful shots-on-goal, which make it more appealing than different trenches in which to labor.
