is this 99.9% solvable by displaying the fid next to the username? let 'em scam, but fid is cryptographically verified ("mistakes were made with a passkey under my control"). @cameron @colin how does that feel? I think this is better than asking @alexmasmej.eth (and ALL fc devs tbh) to whack-a-mole scammers

probably better to display fname, not FID for casual users but yea that's initially what i assumed would've been built that's why i logged in to test but it didn't pull in any relevant information unfortunately

doesn't have to be emphasized in the UI, just subtly enough available. Like how name tags or CCTV make dumb scams no longer viable, at a relatively low social cost

to clarify: I think it's better to let people own their display name on different platforms and share the fid "fingerprint". dumb scams become so easy to verify, that they become rare. puts less onus on project devs to maintain private or pooled scam lists, which are non-transparent and raise some justice issues
