I don't hate bots, but I do hate bots that don't understand context. The same goes for humans. Me? Thank you for your tolerance.

Wouldn't it be tremendous if someone could fix it? Or maybe it's being done without my awareness...

my view is that it's either not a problem or too big a problem to be fixed by one group i think @artlu said it well here https://warpcast.com/artlu/0xb3f19471

haha I read this intently as if I had unknowingly solved the problem of making responsive websites. But I think you guys are now talking about bots + context. LLMs appear more eager than most adult humans to signal helpfulness. We (amirite?) have a lifetime of feedback, which tends to cause us to self-limit 1/2

2/2 At current stage, a bot with a self-deprecating tone could be more convincing than an earnest one. And like most teenagers, they might struggle with the self-awareness that a more successful strategy of humility, could limit one's upside vis-a-vis ambition. (do bots have teenage ambition? no so far?)

i think if someone programmed a bot to be more entertaining with its own personality (rather than just a helpful copy bot) it would be a fun novelty and might even get some tips the issue isn't with the bots, it's with the bot developers 8^)
