I'm curious about the state of deploying frontends to decentralized systems. If you wanted to deploy a dapp frontend to talk to some contracts on an EVM chain, what stack + decentralized hosting solution would you reach for?

maybe a silly ques but why does the fe being on ipfs matter? only the contracts matter.

I mostly wanna support decentralized services. I donβt know if I agree that only the contracts matter, though. For some dapps, the frontend will play a big role in the usability of the system.

the ethos of contracts being immutable is even if they do change, they need to be consensus based. is that how you're thinking about frontend systems? they do matter but im ok w/ multiple clients supporting the same contracts. so much of fe is tied to brand, taste and mutability seems to be key here.

Yeah, to some extent. Iβm thinking about how to bring some of that ethos to clients (especially if thereβs only one client). I think going with a decentralized service aligns more with that than hosting on Vercel et al. R.e. multiple clients, I feel like thatβs not likely for most projects.

yeah the protocol needs to be designed to allow for such model which most arent. if anything they're all building their own L3 stacks atm. funny moments in hindsight indeed.
