I’ve played Catan since the short hand for it was Settlers. There are a number of quality of life that I’ve added over the years.

On games that I play a lot, we end up top-boxing, which is a fancy way of saying that the winner puts their name, date, and a trash-talky message on the inside cover.

I also used sharpie around the core set tiles to help with set up/clean up. I’ve got Seafarers and Fishermen expansions plus the 5-6 Player expansions in the box.
