Over the years I’ve organized a dozen and dozen of exhibition in IRL gallery, art fair, web 3 event and in public display. 

Exibited over 800 artist in 20 different countries, tens of thousands in sales. 

And yet none of that has enabled be to support myself financially, this how we build I guess 🫡

I started doing some teaching as well.

It’s a tough road for sure, I’ve relegated art to a hobby despite a MFA, teaching at the college level, and international exhibitions.  At least I’m still at it :)

Right ! I feel like my work had some positive impact for artist ofc. Helping them grow their career is my mission after all.

I guess it has enabled others to be financially supported? Hopefully?

In any case, there seems to be a great imbalance in this field of work. Making me doubt the motiviations and plans I personally have, to make it part of my professional life somehow. 🤷

I started doing exhibition of NFT late 2020 and even back then getting paid for curation had its challenges

There’s gotta be a better way. 🙁 

I blame the bear a lil bit. If us artists were all flourishing and selling like 2021 we could afford to pay more. Buy Artcrush memberships etc. 

Hopefully the future sees an upswing for us all.

Thanks Rebecca had a call with jean batiste when I landed in France. Great guy but to the point of my cast, he has a free space, free display and free cathering. Can a functional NFT gallery exist if no free rent ?
