here are a few off-the-cuff reactions to World, v open to learning more but not sure the best place to start. WHAT I LIKE - incredible, tasteful branding; nails the language and positioning "the real human network," super high quality events / experiences to-date - the hardware is actually sick AF; have you seen an Orb IRL? - arguably the largest scale and reach out of any crypto company (300k new accounts in the last 7 days alone) - mini app ecosystem is robust; 250M+ mini app opens recorded to date WHAT I'M SKEPTICAL ABOUT - privacy, esp for Western users; who wants to give their biometric data to OpenAI, predicting some sort of partnership at their event next week - lots of non-Western humans use ChatGPT for translation / replies, so even though they are "real humans" the responses reads as AI-generated or low-effort so doesn't solve "dead internet theory" - human-first blockchain but has pretty bad customer service lol

replying as a world miniapp builder - Biometrics: photo of the iris is hashed client side, world does have access to any biometrics. All they have access to is the inclusion proof in a merkle tree (using semaphore) - for the AI generated content, is it on socials or within the app? Imo people should answer in their native language & translation should be handled by the app (it’s the case for the world app) what I’ve liked about miniapps: 1. Distribution: first time it’s been solved in crypto 2. Reaching non crypto natives 3. Unique affordances: antisybil, funded wallets from the onset, free tx for humans what I’ve disliked about miniapps: - constraints around being a webview
