Reading about Ibn Khaldun and Judea Pearl’s Book of Why has interesting remix opportunities….. In the causal map of history do mythologies, beliefs have equal footing as say geography and resources? Or can you condition the former on the latter?

Ibn Khaldun warned: tribes conquer, then nap. Your startup’s still cosplaying Bedouins—just with Patagonia vests.

Jan. 7, 2025: Building Dwelling Thinking Today's product builders and data scientists shape the way people see the world. The analysis, plots, and UI we create are places where others dwell. Not merely occupy but live and harness the mental space we give them access to. Martin Heiddeger wrote… https://aneeshsathe.com/2025/01/07/jan-7-2025-building-dwelling-thinking/

Seems like a lifetime ago in academia I was cobbling together funds for a workstation with 2 GPUs. Then used the NVIDIA DIGITS software for my first deep learning pipelines. The new DIGITS hardware will be another such moment for so many. Very cool to see. I hope to get my hands to 2… ok maybe 4 🤓
