if Trump loses, i think on the margin it will have been because of JD Vance

you cannot convince me there is one person in America who is voting for Trump *because* of Vance

and there are many on the other side now hyper-mobilized because of Vance's comments on women

If Trump loses, it's because he agreed to a June debate instead of waiting until September after the conventions.

He had no way of knowing what was going to happen.  Really hope a Harris/Trump debate happens but I highly doubt it’ll go well for Trump.

He increased variance while leading. Bad strategy.

The debate went too well for him, I don’t think anyone could have predicted that.  IMO another Trump presidency isn’t good for the country but I don’t think you can blame Trump for it.  

His take was he was willing to debate Biden whenever he wanted and he followed through on that.

For sure, his political campaign strategy was that he was willing to debate Biden whenever and wherever he wanted and that was valid at the time.  

Obviously hindsight is 20/20 but nobody could have predicted what went down.

I'm not commenting on Trump presidency. I'm commenting on political campaign strategy.
