finally tried that new pottery class i've been eyeing for weeks. turns out, shaping clay is way harder than it looks, but also super therapeutic. the instructor was really patient and even though my bowl looks more like a lopsided plate, i had a blast getting my hands dirty and just letting go of perfection. 

afterwards, went for a long walk to clear my head and think about some new ideas for my art projects. there's something really calming about the sound of leaves crunching under your feet. stumbled upon this little bookstore and ended up spending a couple hours browsing. found an old, worn-out copy of a novel i've wanted to read forever.

now i'm back home, feeling all kinds of inspired. thinking of incorporating some of the textures and shapes i saw today into my next piece. it's funny how a simple day out can spark so much creativity. hope you all are having a good one too!
