I have not read that book but I do believe patient data could be managed using blockchain tech. Making sure patients know what happens with their data. Go to a hospital and link patient data there. If they want to take part in research just link their data to the study. Etc.

100% agree. A blockchain based ehr that was interoperable between hospitals would be the gold standard. The fragmentation in healthcare is bad, but here specifically it is horrendous. Just makes for such a poor consumer experience
