My question is not going to be complex, rather, it is what I have always been curious to know. People who live in North Korea:

Do you have any idea how people live in other countries? If so, would you like to change your own way of life or would you continue as you are?
Do you feel a lack of freedom?
Do you wish to be able to emigrate?
Do you love your homeland despite all the claims made, mainly in the West, that you are a people totally subjugated by a tyrannical government?
Do you think that with another system of government you would be better off?
Would you dare to change it?
Are they happy?

It’s impossible to know what’s in the hearts and minds of most in the country because it is so locked down. We do know that defectors who manage to escape almost always do so not because of ideological opposition to the Kim regime but because they are seeking food, medicine or cash and it’s only after they escape — almost always to China — that they make contact with activists, missionaries and others in the border region who explain the stakes and help them decide whether to leave the DPRK for good.

How horrible. I can't imagine a worse way to live than when you are deprived of your freedom.
