After an incredible week of vacation with my family, I’m heading back to work tonight and tomorrow night. I always feel a bit apprehensive because I work in a unit for difficult patients in psychiatry, the largest in my region. There can be instances of violence, high suicide risks, and very unstable patients. 

However, I chose to work in this unit because I genuinely appreciate helping those in distress. Most patients stay for about 3 to 4 days, as our dedicated and responsive care team ensures they can transition back to a regular unit or even return home.
