Are there still algorithmic/other benefits to casting in channels on FC?

Sometimes, I kinda miss the days where rawcasting was the norm.

Interesting... So you think channels should be the focus?

Sometimes I find myself struggling to slot my casts into channels, and prefer the early days where we just rawcasted without a care about taxonomizing every cast into a channel.

FC lost its magic when they veered from channels being a priority

I don’t think it does. I guess if someone is scrolling a specific channel then it helps depending on how the channel feed is set up. But otherwise no affect on algo afaik. Dan casted about this somewhat recently, like within the last two weeks I think

So apparently it doesn't matter anymore?

Still need to dig further into this to see what exactly was said.

I like those simpler times when we just rawcasted with no worries, for more general topics.

So yes, I agree for sure in some situations, like /gardening has always been where I post my related content, and /allotment. But for other casts, it's a bit more of a grey area for me.
