You can use offline map apps for that! I used to do this as it ensures you always have a map even in areas of no signal. Honestly though, these years I don't anymore. I've got lazy, and I do like the Google Maps app. But there are a bunch of decent offline map apps for mobile worth checking if you want to de-google. There's always... Bing Maps too... 😬

Good call! I need to do some research 😎 and I feel you, there's so many QoL features Google offers but I know I can live without too. I think I mostly haven't bothered because I didn't want to worry about maps or other app dependencies in general breaking haha. Once I get my Dgen1 it will be a great time to experiment! 100 $degen

Thank you frenpai! πŸ™πŸ˜» I get you man, I'm the same, so had settled on just relying on gmaps by default. I think nowadays you can use OSM (Open Street Maps) on multiple offline mapping apps, and with modern devices the GPS is pretty accurate and OSM has fairly updated maps. I never use the "directions" or driving instructions features either, which may be a blocker for some to make the switch (there are a lot of apps that also do routefinding too, though!)

Ahhh yes that totally flew over my head haha. No real time directions is definitely a blocker 😡
