The latest report from the U.S. Congress on China's military capabilities states that China now possesses 600 nuclear warheads ready for deployment, compared to 500 reported last year. The report highlights that China is experiencing extraordinarily rapid growth, projecting that the number of warheads could reach 1,000 by 2030. Although even 1,000 warheads would still be far fewer than the number currently held by the United States, this shift would transition China from a nuclear defensive posture to a nuclear offensive capability against the U.S., as it would enable China to target all key objectives within the U.S. effectively.

The Pentagon also states that China is developing tactical weapons with an explosive yield of about 5 kilotons of TNT, intended for potential use against U.S. military bases in the Pacific if necessary. The confrontation between China and the United States is growing more serious every day.
