I think the reason Musk is displaying symptoms of decreased intelligence is because his psychological problems got out of control (due to increased use of drugs, loneliness, social media addiction, etc) and are impacting his analytical parts of his brain at this point. Or maybe long COVID.

He was never as smart as portrayed by his PR people but I think he was managing. Now he's lost.

Note, I'm not saying he is not a selfish prick, he is, but recently he also can't process analysis or even data.

I mean these are just examples. The way he misunderstood data on sexual assault statistics over the weekend was mind boggling. I had better understanding of statistics at age 9 than this guy.
