Greenland is rich in rare earth metals, uranium, lithium, and cobalt, and its shores are also highly promising for oil and gas exploration. Did you notice the mention of rare earth metals, uranium, lithium, and cobalt? These are the very materials that China is the primary supplier of for U.S. industries. If China limits their exports, many strategic industries will face problems. This means that Trump is essentially preparing to confront China.
