Since the fall of the Assad regime, it is estimated that Israel has occupied 508.4 square kilometers of Syrian territory — an area the size of Los Angeles and slightly smaller than Singapore. Gaza Strip is only 360 square kilometers. In the past 12 days alone, Israel has occupied 54 square kilometers of Syrian territory, which is roughly the size of Manhattan or half of Washington, D.C. Israel's presence in the Golan Heights is illegal, and now it claims to have created a buffer zone to ensure the security of the Golan!
