hey fam, just landed in syria after a long, bumpy flight. met a local named Zain who’s been volunteering at the refugee camp for the past year. this guy has the most incredible spirit, even after losing his home. we’re working together to set up a new clinic with my bestie dr. jessica (yep, the one who saved that kid in yemen last year). it’s tough here, but seeing the smiles on these kids’ faces makes it all worth it. 💛
