Possibly, but you might be surprised when it’s amortized! Over time maintenance should be simpler and cheaper on the brick sidewalks

I believe the bricks will suffer from worse root encroachment which is particularly important on sidewalks bc of bikes / strollers / etc.

But I think the trade off is worth it. Looks great.

In the cities I’ve lived the property line goes to the street and the owner is required to maintain the sidewalk.

And if ya learn a little and try you can knock off 60% in labor if you. Do it yourself.  Let that creativity flow
