has anyone made a Wayland window manager that leaves half of the screen allocated to the real framebuffer-writing TTY, for omega terminal performance? 🤔

my input latency is sooooo low in a TTY and sooooo high once I launch a terminal emulator in Wayland, I need that lightning fast input back!

kitty and alacritty are both great terminals, but Sway/Wayland itself delivers frames super late - 
there's a whole Wayland compositor by Valve, Gamescope, that only exists to deliver frames quickly.
Wayland is not designed for fresh frames at all :(

I'm assuming kitty or alacrity are not good right?
