These were taken by his then-girlfriend Monika Dannemann during his stay at the Samarkand Hotel.

At around 11pm, Monika prepared dinner for them at the Samarkand Hotel apartment, and the two drank a bottle of wine together. At around 1:45am, the two drove to chat with friends and returned to the apartment at 3am, chatting until around 7am. Monika woke up around 11am and found Jimi unconscious, breathing but unresponsive. She called an ambulance at 11:18am, which arrived nine minutes later. Jimi was taken to St. Mary Abbot's Hospital, where Dr. John Bannister pronounced him dead at 12:45pm on September 18.
