Gas prices on L1 have been so low for so long that Etherscan had to add decimal places to the homepage. 

Not sure if this is a bullish or bearish sign.

NGL, my browser extension looked crazy today.  Thought gas prices skyrocked overnight until I saw the decimal

I feel like it means the network has gained a lot of capacity with the L2s and take it as a bullish sign, so plz pump my bags 😁

Not sure how I feel about this. Back in spring 2021, I bought a memecoin for roughly $200. It did 3x in a week, so I decided to sell it all. My estimated gas cost fees were $700. 

Official gas tracker site stopped counting after 1k gwei. The site genuinely did not account for gas ever being above 1k. Simple send tx was around $200. Simple swap (coin to coin, not multipe routes) on Uni was $400-800. 

It was the main reason for me switching to L2s. I don't trust the L1 during bull.

Long term bullish cheaper gas prices make new apllications viable onchain
