Claude Code is blowing my mind, it feels at least 10x more powerful than the closest alternative - especially for complex, multi-step tasks it's really expensive compared with most other options (I burn ~$5 per hour w/ it) but definitely worth it

Give me the TLDR on how this is different to Cursor IDE?

Cursor IDE is great at helping with a specific file / function - tabs to autocomplete stuff, highlight and ask to edit a specific part, chat, etc. Claude Code is more like a dev you give tasks to, e.g. "refactor the activity feature in this repo and make it do X" - on its own it will start working across multiple files, check that there are no typescript or eslint errors, prepare a commit for you, etc. It doesn't always get 100% right on its first try but it gets 95% right in the cases I've used it in, and the last 5% are just a matter of asking it to adjust specific things once or twice
