We just released the latest version of Ape that has new features, optimizations, and an entirely new library for you to play with!

Let's go through it:

The smart contract development tool for Pythonistas, Data Scientists, and Security Professionals

We Ape now attempts to connected to a public RPC even when nothing else is configured! This makes it easier to start a new project, fix an old one, and fork an existing one without worrying about RPC nonsense!

refactor: use evmchains package for public RPCs

We made a new library!

The default public RPC is available in an evmchains python package so now you can add, remix, and hack it into whatever project you like!

feat: Use eth_createAccessList RPC in type=1 prepared transaction

When you're creating type 1 txns, the access lists will automatically be populated now!

It saves you seconds, which is time, which is money, and money is, well, money

feat: adds account generation and import API functions

Now you can easily generate and add accounts in Python code! 

Don't like the CLI? Don't use the CLI!

fix: issue where could not pass a tuple for an array

You can now use tuples for array inputs on contracts! Now handling massive amounts of data is even easier!

fix: decoding fails when indexed values not first in log

We crushed an event decoding bug where for events where index parameters did not come first in the definition/log. 

Obscure, but annoying enough that its now a distant memory forgotten to time

perf: lazy model extras and IPython canary short-circuitry

We upgraded the performance of ape by killing a bug that made Ape try to compile while typing project in the console, so now you don't have to worry about obscure compiling jumpscares when you're working with Ape

fix: array of structs or tuples when only 1 element would be weird

While combing through the code we found a bug that made contract results return an array of size 1, with the element being a struct, which came back buggy

Post-bug fumigation everything should return as it should without the contract, Ape, or your debugger getting mad at you

fix: raise error when attempting to deploy a contract without init-code

Accidentally deploy an empty contract? 

Np we've done the same.

Ape will warn you if you try to so you don't accidentally just give stakers a free paycheck

fix: issue with networks that started PoA but currently are not

Using ape-geth to connect to a PoA network works way better better now!

fix: provider settings RPC was not being used when it was the default

We found a small, odd bug where the provider settings for the RPC were not being used when it was set as the default, so now we made an alternative path that's way more stable!

feat: CLI help plugin organization

DONT PANIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 ape --help is now more organized and streamlined, so if you need help, you'll get help

BONUS RELEASE! - ape-safe v0.7.0b1

Some users saw a small bug with recursive imports in the ape-safe plugin, so we couldn't let that stand and released a fix so that lets you ape-safe, safe-rer
