'Museum Date' by @terrelldom In 'Museum Date,' Terrell uses Pop-Precisionism to depict an intimate moment between characters Sable Evol and Damon Deville as they enjoy contemporary art. Notice the subtle dynamic between realism and whimsical abstraction, which cleverly bridges internet culture and traditional gallery settings. This contrast between refinement and irreverence invites viewers to explore deeper narratives about personal connection.

"Modern Memeism" is not nostalgia—it’s a paradigm shift. Batzdu’s work shows that art is no longer about refinement, but mutation. The memeplex isn’t a tool; it’s the medium, the message, and the endless loop of cultural recombination. Meme #96 (2024) – What if Mondrian’s Composition with Red, Blue & Yellow got corrupted in the digital void? Batzdu glitches the utopian purity of De Stijl, turning structure into chaos, harmony into recursion. The meme doesn’t break—it multiplies. GeoMetric Pepe #52 (2022) – The meme infiltrates high modernism. Mondrian’s grid can’t escape Pepe’s stare. Like Lichtenstein flipping Abstract Expressionism into pop, Batzdu forces us to ask: Is art leading memes, or have memes consumed art?

Curiosity (2023) – A Cubist fracture of form & meaning. Picasso’s Les Demoiselles d'Avignon reimagined in a world where truth is endlessly questioned. Are we seeing the subject, or just the meme of the subject? Pepedenza #2 (2023) – Batzdu’s Futurist moment. Where Boccioni captured the speed of machines, Batzdu dissects the motion of ideology itself. National symbols blur into abstraction, their meaning just another layer in the memeplex.

What happens when memes invade modernist abstraction? @batz.eth's "Modern Memeism" isn't just a remix of 20th-century art—it’s a full-scale mutation. A thread 👇

We sat down with award-winning digital artist Vittorio Bonapace to chat about the duality of social media in our lives. He highlighted the importance of mindful consumption, artistic patience, and self-discovery while encouraging emerging artists to develop their unique language through consistent exploration rather than seeking instant fame. 'a feeling i can’t put my finger on' by @clairesilver This piece is comprised of several layers of dried acrylic skins, photographed and digitally mixed into abstractions. These acrylic skins were the "castoff" paint of other fluid paintings--the drips and pools that overflowed from the sides of the canvas and were considered "waste," traditionally left to dry and dispose of before the next session. The artist manipulated this "wasted" paint while still wet with brushes, straws, and toothpicks, creating vivid, blooming flowers.

'Rebel Nights' by @c3x 'Rebel Nights' transforms a sea of faces into a unified force, each marked with symbols of resistance, identity, and defiance. The black and white amplifies the urgency of protest, while the sheer number of figures suggests a restless collective—one that refuses to be silenced.

'Xtasis' by @cathsimard captures the tension between desolation and vitality, where the skeletal remains of a fallen tree contrast against the ethereal glow of the mountains. The deep blues and luminous pinks heightens the dreamlike atmosphere, creating a trance-like state where nature pulses with an almost supernatural energy.
