This week, several Ukrainians legally in the United States under a humanitarian program received emails telling them their status had been revoked and they had seven days to leave the country. A spokesman for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security said the email was sent in error and that the humanitarian program for Ukrainians, established after Russia’s invasion of the country in 2022, had not been terminated.
