For me, there is definitely overall still more relevant content over on twitter. But spending a relevant portion of my social media time here now made me much more aware of just how much junk there is in my twitter feed. Random viral tweets and such. Really feels like an adversarial algorithm - not so here, refreshing!

Ah, no, see, I actually think algorithmic curation is a valuable service! I follow too many people and check too rarely to follow everything chronologically. And highlighting adjacent content us valuable as well! It’s just that I need an algorithm that optimizes for my best interest, not for maximal ad impressions!

Tbf, my feed is quite nice on X, assuming we talk about 'you follow' feed.

My Twitter feed is more junk than anything else these days. It really has gone downhill.
