I decided to start the next season of trying to make farcaster my primary social network home. Prediction is that it will take a few more attempts for me, but I am very impressed by how far farcaster has already come and very optimistic for its future progression. @dwr.eth and team are continuing to do an amazing job!

The active badge is going away.

Spammy accounts are aggressively gaming the system to get the badge. 
Making the rules stricter just makes it harder for legitimate users.

We’re past the point where a simple rule based system will work. We need something better.

Ah, well this illustrates me having some catching up to do. TIL the active badge is no more, long live the power badge!

And longcasts are apparently a thing now?

@dwr.eth @v is there something like a warpcast changelog anywhere, to catch up on new features in general?

Experiment: Hiding power badges

Power badges will be hidden on Warpcast for a week. We’re running this experiment because:

1. New user find it hard to get follows due to “power badge bias”
2. Power badge isn’t being used much in Warpcast anymore.
