Fat protocols are free-rising on apps, apps cannot accrue the revenue in a gradually growing manner, only an app with enough power like Sorare can somehow utilize blockchain right now. People still love infra. It looks like a systematic deadlock.

If a foreigner from Country B is deceived by a foreigner from Country C in a certain Country A, the person from B will have a low opinion of A even if there is no intervention by ppl from A. This is a common sight in wealthy nations dependent on foreign labor.

One of the most successful products on the app layer is Sorare imo. They have accomplished what only blockchain can do in a form that everyone can use.

There are structural difficulties for apps to be successful. Fat protocol and lack of network effects. Much less funds invested in but have to solve much harder problems.
