Of the two Social Fi narratives emerging:

1. The creator economy 
2. Trading/betting on social status 

I strongly align with the first and that’s where I want to focus my time/energy. Encouraging innovation, celebrating creators’ contributions, and building a healthier internet experience overall.

When you think of the 2nd narrative, it’s not too different from what we currently see on the regular web. The top influencers eat first and take the majority of capital (social and financial in this case). The new/late folks play to the rules established by the OG players and it becomes a gamified system where you grovel at the feet of those in first place, just for a tiny slice of bread. Then a new game is established — we rinse & repeat with the same set of rules. 

The creator economy is here to inspire new ideas, develop new paradigms, foster community instead of competition, and to welcome the dreamers who share these values with us.
