On March 29, 2025, the Earth Hour campaign took place. On this day, at 20:30 local time, the lights are turned off in many important buildings and institutions around the world. Anyone can join the campaign - you need to stop using electricity for an hour. We hold such an hour in our family several times a year, and this is one of the childrens' favorite pastimes, because on such days we organize a shadow theater. We start with toys, and then all the objects in the house are used - dishes, flowers, decorations, food, and so on. I hope that in my childrens' memories such days will remain not just a fun game, but later they will realize the importance and significance of this event. See mini moovie on my X account. ⬇️⬇️

Every time, when I forget my textile shopper.🤪

This post is about giving up disposable things. Here is a list of things that I replaced with reusable ones.
- plastic shopping bags
- fruit bags
- plastic straws. I got steel straws and always try to take them with me to cafes. I suffer a lot when the waiter forgets my request to bring a drink without a straw, and I suffer even more when they put 2 in one glass at once.
- water bottles.
- paper cups and disposable food containers. I always take a thermos mug and my own containers if I plan to buy ready-made food in bulk.
- diapers. When my children turned 1.5 years old, we switched to reusable diapers.
It may seem difficult, but it's all a matter of training and habit. Start with one step, and I assure you, it will be difficult to stop.
