It is needed in the future, why not? Today's ideas may not be valid for tomorrow, not in the near future, but it is likely to be in the future.

If I'm not wrong jesse said that they don't have a plan to deploy token. I'm pretty active on base it would be great to get an airdrop but I don't think it will happen🤷‍♂️
