@base builder #001; onchain cities w/ OAK & city3

I see Base and @jessepollak positioning themselves heavily as a degen chain, encouraging people to launch memecoins that follow the dominant narrative while overlooking their Trojan horse distribution through Coinbase. They have a unique opportunity to be different, not just better. There’s massive potential to make DeFi accessible to the general public, scale, and expand other crypto primitives seamlessly.

Additionally, it feels like the Base team is trying to build everything themselves rather than focusing on fostering an ecosystem where everything is built on Base.

Just my opinion from observing the Base team since its inception and briefly building on top of it.
