One of the most significant festivals for the Tenggerese is Yadnya Kasada, which lasts about a month, typically in June-July. During this festival, on the 14th day, the Tenggerese make a pilgrimage to Luhur Poten Bromo to offer prayers to Hyang Widi Wasa and Mahadeva, the Gods of the Mountain. The offerings include rice, fruits, vegetables, flowers, livestock, and other local goods. In addition to the offerings, the Dukun (medicine men) undergo a test of memory and spiritual strength, where they are challenged to recall prayers. The Dukun who succeeds is chosen as the spiritual leader of the Tengger tribe, guiding them through their rituals and maintaining their connection with the divine.
