The battlefield was a proving ground,  
a place where love drove each swing of his blade.  
Her name burned in his chest,  
a beacon guiding him through chaos.  
But now, his strikes land without meaning—  
the weight of her absence heavier  
than any enemy’s sword.  

He remembers her, in fragments dulled by time:  
the curve of her smile, the warmth of her voice,  
now pale ghosts of what they were.  
He thought love eternal,  
a shield against the dark.  
Yet here he stands, no longer feeling the ache,  
only the hollow where it once lived.  

The enemies fall,  
yet victory feels like an echo in an empty hall.  
He moves through the motions,  
a ritual without belief.  
Each fight is a mirror reflecting  
not a hero, but a man  
unburdened by what once held him.  

Anagapesis whispers in the quiet,  
a truth sharper than any blade:  
love can fade not in a blaze,  
but in the slow erosion of care.  
The knight knows this now,  
fighting not for glory,  
but for the rhythm of survival.
