Punk or not?

Is it the buttons and the hair, that says I do not care?
The jacket with the tear, patched across the derrière? 
Perhaps punk is subtler stuff,
not the subterfuge of appearances
but the revolution of bicycle powered transportation
not a confrontation but an affirmation of another way
another type of punk
