Introducing the artist : Pierre Powis He was a French painter who was famous for his frescoes and became known as "painting for France". He became one of the founders and president of the National Society of Fine Arts, and his work influenced many other artists, notably Robert Jeanne, and helped medalists with designs and suggestions for their works.
