Last night, Bill Clinton claimed that America has added about 50 million jobs since 1989… 50 mil during dem admins and 1 during rep admins. Fact check: pretty darn true! Turns out 97.5% were during Democratic administrations. 👀

I am pretty sure Bill Clinton would be a slightly right leaning republican in this day and age. I kind of identify as a clinton democrat but i cant under any way align myself with anything the party has become.

Curious, what have they become in your mind? Is it the whole party or just the most extreme elements of it you object to?

It’s just a complete shift towards extreme views for most issues. It’s the same with republicans, it’s all or nothing in today’s political environment and both options are far more extreme than I am comfortable supporting.

I think it might be best to just completely check out until 4 days before the election and make a decision then. Who knows who will be left standing

this is one of the best pieces of political reporting basically ever, and the thesis is: they want you exhaust you. the point is to make an electorate that is so disengaged as to give over any sense of participating in democracy: https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-features/david-foster-wallace-on-john-mccain-the-weasel-twelve-monkeys-and-the-shrub-194272/
