appreciation

listening to my mom play piano is always a poignant experience. once a concert pianist, her arthritis worsens each year, and with poor eyesight she can barely read sheet music. we sold her piano in order to downsize. i'll always appreciate getting to hear her play live, even if it's on an old keyboard.
