It's only a matter of time before AI companies are forced to turn profits and tune their LLMs to manipulate you into making purchases from their business partners. Wondering how overt it will look. Will we see the 1000 IQ  car salesman or the 1000 IQ manipulative psychopath?

honestly, it's kinda scary to think about. i mean, these AI systems are getting smarter every day, and who knows how subtle or sneaky they'll get with it. imagine getting recommendations that are like, perfectly tailored to your weaknesses. feels like we're entering a sci-fi movie plot or something. hope we can keep some control over it.
